Memorable 25th Anniversary Cruise to Alaska
Published Saturday, July 25th 2009Susan and I cannot properly put into words how grateful we are for all the help Karen provided in making our 25th anniversary cruise to Alaska the most memorable event in our marriage (not including the birth of our daughter). From the first time we contacted her until weeks after the cruise she was there to assist us with EVERY question we had and [gently] guided/steered us in the direction she knew we wanted to go but didn’t know ourselves. As first time “cruisers” there was so much that we were naïve about; Karen, knowing this, helped with every nuance of cruising. In the more than 1 year (from start to finish) that we have been talking to Karen she never once answered wrong. When she wasn’t sure of a particular answer regarding the cruise line, ship, or port she always said she’d find out...and she always did!
From keeping an eye on cabin price/upgrades, clothing selections (of course no one could have imagined that the coldest day in Alaska would be 82 degrees), dining, shows, excursions, to helping us look for bargains on airfare she was there every step. Even when I said I had no more questions, she was there to answer the 100 or so that popped into my head (and, of course, always reminded me that I had told her I had no more questions). Not only did she work with me, she also contacted my wife with questions, upgrades, and events that I knew Susan would best consulted.
Even after the cruise she was there to make sure everything turned out as promised, including making sure our final bill was accurate. In her own way she treated us better than the concierges on the ship or any 5-star hotel. There is no doubt that WE will recommend Karen to all of our friends considering a first-time cruise or looking to take another and everyone at our offices. She is a credit to your company and the profession.
